It seemed to me that pausing as much of a fascist takeover as we can would be a good thing. Why continue the takeover if the services shutdown effects are going to be cut permanently?

        Fascists still need an administration.

At the very least to coordinate and pay the people with guns. But to pay the people with guns you need people collecting taxes. So you need tax administration. And in order to have taxes to collect, you need a functioning economy, so you need infrastructure like roads. So now you need an office where roads are planned built and maintained. And you want electricity, but grid is complicated, so you need an office for that. Also your underlings still need to eat, so you need to organize agriculture and transportation of food…

It all boils down to needing a reasonably staffed administration. So yes, a full shutdown will slow down the takeover.

I dont know what legal role Doge has. But if the office where they want to influence things is shut down, doors locked and nobody to answer the telephone, they wont have much to work with.

I am not talking about the office of doge. I am talking of all the offices where they want to meddle. They cant meddle if noone is there to open up for them, give them access to things or receive their demands and forwards their decisions.

Why do you think that people need to be in office to be laid off? They could literally just not let them back into the building.
