I can recommend Asphalte from France. https://www.asphalte.com/ Gotta bring some patience when ordering though. They collect orders and only produce those with a small overhead to cover returns, to avoid overproduction. Their style focuses on timeless stuff in good quality as to avoid trends. You can’t always order all their products, but some ‘eternals’ are always available to order (still have to wait until the next production cycle though). Now would be a good time to order summer clothing. My personal favorite are their sneakers as they look good and are very comfy and sturdy.
GARDEUR:
A traditional German company. It was Germany’s first pants brand in 1969.
Delivery is only to Germany and the Netherlands.
According to wikipedia “the only pants supplier in the industry that combines all development steps in the company - from the design to the finished pair of pants”.Good quality, wearable for years, price-performance ratio okay.
There are many local retailers in Germany and the Netherlands. Ideally, try them on for the first time on site, as the cut is very close to the figure. But then the right size really does fit perfectly.
I know polish brands Agrest, very good climbing trousers. We (I’m involved in production) made it in Krakow in small manufacture. As climbing clothes they HAVE TO be comfortable and abrasion resistant.
It sounds like advertise, but I trully recomend it.
There is also brand Pakker but I don’t know much about them.
People are recommending good European brands — which you should definitely check out! — but I’d like to also recommend buying second-hand.
It’s cheaper, better for the environment, and you don’t have to worry about supporting American companies; Even if you buy from an American brand (Wrangler, Levi’s…), the money is going straight to a fellow European citizen and to whatever platform/website you buy it from, so you just have to make sure to use a European platform such as Vinted.
It might not be as convenient as buying straight from the brand, but it is better.
Can confirm. Of course you can’t really expect to always find the thing you are looking for, especially if you need a certain size. But I got lucky and found nice quality jeans on a very good deal for 9€.
9€ is kinda crazy, wow…
Yeah it was in a store in my city and originally the price was double that which was still very good. But they had a sale since they were probably wanting to get rid of stuff and everything was 50% off.
Varusteleka
Finish army shop that sells also some jeans and cargo pants. Rather regular and wide cut. The online is worth the visit, if you need anything or not.
👆
I can never recommend the tactical jeans from Varusteleka enough (Finnish store, jeans made in Estonia)
https://www.varusteleka.com/en/product/varusteleka-tactical-jeans/58865
Imagine jeans, with almost cargo pants level of capacity, that still look like normal jeans. The extra side pockets are fantastic for phone on one side and wallet on the other.
They’re also nice and stretchy, and they have lasted me years of almost daily use.
They ain’t that cheap though.
The pictures though :D
Classic Varusteleka, the one where they’re doing the splits is peak

MR MARVIS, a Dutch company that produces in Portugal. https://www.mrmarvis.com/de
They also have shirts and jackets. If you live in Düsseldorf, Hamburg or Munich you can visit their stores locally.
Not sure if anyone knows if these are similar to Duer?
I need some jeans so I checked them out, but €140 for one pair is kinda crazy.
It would be a lot for fast fashion. But if these last more than a year they’re already on par with the investment you’d make at H&M.
There is no way I’m wearing out three to four pairs of H&M jeans in a year, and jeans are literally all I wear. That’s okay though, I guess I’m just out of the loop of how expensive clothing has gotten, so this has been a good reality check!
I cannot comment on the quality of their jeans, but I have several Chino’s trousers. The “Longs” and the “Easies” and they old for a long time.
For dressier pants “#menswear”: Berg&Berg (buy only on 40%-50% off), Poszetka.com (suits are Chinese but rest should be PL), PT Torino, Zanella, Rota Pantaloni
There’s also Benevento for custom but they have a bad reputation of fulfilling orders for months
You can always go with http://grundstoff.net/ to find new brands.
If it comes to jeans, you might want to check out Varusteleka’s jeans.
Grundstoff gets so many mentions, I have to try them at some point.
I have sweatpants from Trigema that are pretty good. I’ve also seen the jeans from Varusteleka (Finnish, made in EU) being recommended a few times, though I haven’t bought any yet.
The tactical jeans from Varusteleka are the only pants I can use anymore (and their shorts equivalent) I’ve been using the same pair for 3 years now and they are still in great condition, used almost every single day!
The extra side pockets are game changing for jeans.
pants or trousers?
Trousers :-)
LTB jeans were always a good affordable choice IMO.
