‼️ Official: Unmanned Systems Forces Intercept “Shaheeds”

Operators of the Darknode unit of the 412th NEMESIS Regiment of the SBS have already destroyed more than 10 enemy Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs using the latest means.

The product costs about $5,000. While the cost of the enemy’s kamikaze drones is over $150,000.

The Unmanned Systems Forces continue to implement innovative solutions that increase the effectiveness of the Ukrainian Defense Forces to save the lives of Ukrainians.

    I thought the Shaheds were a lot cheaper than that. Aren’t they essentially WW2-era V2s only piloted by the equivalent of a Raspberry Pi?

      V2s are rockets. Shaheds are mopeds with wings, export cost is in the 150k-200k range, domestic production costs estimates range 10k to 50k, which sounds about right for a two-stroke engine, a not completely shoddy airframe (not model styrofoam or such), payload, and some electronics depending on purchase power equivalence, how sanctioned you are, etc.
