    people just couldn’t fucking live life without feeding their addiction to fake likes and fake validation and fake popularity from their fake friends on fucking twitter

    there never was a valid defense of staying on twitter, but even now people are trying to justify it.

      Agreed. I left Twitter the moment Musk took over. But the comic isnt completely accurate. They’ve been building up to this for decades. Trump simply sped the timeline up. Which hopefully turns out to ne the undoing.

      Had people laugh at me for suggesting going to Mastodon “why would I join something with no users?”, a small inconvenience to make the world better perhaps? Would it kill you to be part of something that isn’t yet popular?

      I have a hard time giving a go to my friends who still use X every time they post X I vindictively snap back
