Yes, but throwing cigarette butts on the floor has always been something only rude people did. There were trash cans with ashtrays on top filled with sand in which normal people disposed of their butts.

Methinks this is BS, I got 7/11 and I’m in my twenties.

It would have been 9, but even in the bad old days I’ve never known a anywhere it was acceptable to just throw little on the floor in a business, regardless of whether it was a cigarette butt or not.

This is genuinely the first I’m learning those aren’t a thing anymore in some places. I could swear I’ve seen them all over Europe.

Just got some from a vending machine in Spain. Also in France some time ago. Pretty sure they’re all over. Only difference is that Germany really has them everywhere.

I’m pretty sure the number one hobby here is taking a smoke break. Sadly I can’t answer your question, but I’ve never seen a cigarette add 🤷

    Some more:

    • Smoking while observing a sheep.
    • Smoking on the dancefloor at the hippest discotheque in town.
    • Smoking while threading the film into the stedicam rig on the set of the Stanley Kubrick film The Shining (1980).
    • Smoking while performing open-heart surgery.
    • Smoking while restarting the computers at the dinosaur park.
    • Smoking while Niel and Buzz are down on the surface.
    • Offering a cigarette to a dodo
    • Stubbing out your cigarette after filling in a form which asks for your date of birth which is the 7th August 1968.

    I got 7. I’m pretty old.

Let’s see if I can make the math work:

American men live to 74.8 on average.

    7/11*74.8 = 47.6

    Pretty close.
