Edit: hahaha suckers. I baited you all into talking about pens. The troll was so obvious.

More often than not gently heating the tip of the pen with a lighter will revitalise it. It’s worth a shot before throwing it out.

As a lefty I can confidently say fuck all pens. The sharpie gel one I use is alright but ball points just don’t work for those of us who push the ball when we write instead of dragging it. It’s like every pen I use is out of ink.

Turn the page about 45 degrees clockwise, you’ll write more straight across the page and the pen will work better because you’re not pushing it. Experiment until you find the angle that works best for you.

Additional bonus: No more smudges on your hand/the page.

If writing for a decent amount of time, this is how I do it with fountain pens. They almost feel made for lefties.

I dunno, I bought three pens and four inks that the internet assured me was high quality and none of them are as smooth as my pilot G2 fine tip.

Fountain pens are way cooler though.

Maybe they’re not for you, IDK. I started with a Lamy safari and noodler’s ink, and it was pretty smooth. You do have to write a bit differently though.

The pilot G2s are well known for being very good as well.

I’m thinking of going back to nicer gel pens. Fountain pens are great when writing, but filling and cleaning is such a hassle. My favorite is probably the TWSBI VAC 700R since it holds so much ink, and it doesn’t need to be filled often at all.

Nothing is as smooth as a good fountain pen, you are not even supposed to push like you do with a ballpoint pen, just caress the paper…

Yup, $15 for a bottle of ink that’ll go for a long time. Plus you get to be smug. I got a jinhao 10 pen that’s pretty useful .

Hot damn stationary turns me on.

Not that shit though, that’s torture footage.

Pilot G2 best pen ever, unless one ascends to felt tips.

    Uniball eye fine

I’ve used the same one for 3 years at work and it only just started to run out, so I got another.
